Edmonson News
The ''Edmonson News'' is a weekly newspaper based in Brownsville, Kentucky, and serving Edmonson County in west-central Kentucky. It is published on Wednesdays every week (excluding the final week prior to New Year's Day), but its date line on the front page is on the Thursday after publishing. It is also one of the few newspapers in Kentucky that does not offer an electronic edition (e-edition).
Even though this newspaper is no longer the main media outlet based in Edmonson County with the addition of a new online publication, EdmonsonVoice.com, it is still available at every convenience store, grocery store, and most local businesses around the county. Brownsville's major convenience stores also offer the Bowling Green ''Daily News'' and ''The Courier-Journal'' out of Louisville.
The first edition of the Edmonson news was released sometime in 1927.〔http://kypress.com/directory/weekly_detail.php?id=12〕 The paper's only competition within the county (as of October 2014) is (EdmonsonVoice.com ), a free on-line newspaper covering the Edmonson County area.
